I read me some Beelzebub manga this night (which is why I only got around 3 hours of sleep; I’m peachy, tho). I was bored and it was in the “newest uploads” section on Mangareader, so I got to it. It wasn’t half bad. I mean, it was honestly over the top, good shounen, in which I couldn’t tell what the hell was going on half of the time (the other half, the author probably had no idea as well).
Anyway, when Toujou Hidetora appeared, I had a strong feeling of “omg that face; he looks kinda like Sanada from PoT!”. Needless to say, the guy became one of my favourite characters pretty much instantly (oversized bear? check. stupid? check. slow on the uptake? check. good looking? check! definitely my type.) and, as a stupid squealing fangirl, I started shipping him with anything that looks better than a rock (which is, not many people in the manga… at least at first; the rate of beautification is pretty scary in the later chapters). Then Izuma Kaname appeared, and I was “omg he looks a bit like Yuushi~! I’m gonna ship the two for the lulz!”
And then they actually had to go and become freaking rivals or something, intent on beating each other up. And by doing this, they successfully became my OTP for this series, much to my chagrin, since hardly anybody else seems to ship it!
The thing I’d like to know is, why can I never, like, ship a popular pairing? I don’t get it. What’s wrong with my brain? Or maybe what’s wrong with this manga’s fandom? Hell, if somebody had this much interaction/tension in Prince of Tennis, they would have had at least some shippers…..
TL;DR: dot ships a certain pairing from a certain manga and others don’t. Much wtf is had. dot goes back looking for art, fic and whatever.
anyone knows of a beelzebub kink meme or something? because i suck at looking for my porn myself
